Dr. Sreedhar is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry with more than 10 years of research and teaching experience in various universities/research institutes in India and abroad. Prior to joining FCRI, he worked as UGC-Assistant Professor under the Faculty Recharge Program) at the Department of Biochemistry, Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has taught Enzymology, Immunology, Plant and Animal Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics courses for M.Sc. Biochemistry students, besides active research in the area of cardiovascular biology.
His studies characterized zinc dys homeostasis during myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and the therapeutic effects of zinc pyrithione (ionophore), along with analysis of ZIP and ZNT expression in cardio myocytes. His research on endothelial dysfunction with cisplatin delineated the molecular signaling mechanisms, using silencing approach. He had earlier worked at KL University (Deemed to be), Vadde swaram as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology. Ms. Perala Nikitha is an Assistant Professor of Agriculture Extension under the Department of Basic and Social Sciences at Forest College & Research Institute. She has completed her M.Sc. in Agriculture Extension at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), RajendraNagar. Currently pursuing PhD. in Agriculture Extension at PJTSAU, Hyderabad. She is specialized in Instructional Technology and has contributed in the development of learning style inventory for the farmers based on the suitability of extension teaching methods used by extension personnel which is of first of its kind.
She has also qualified ICAR ARS - NET in Agricultural Extension. She is the topper in post-graduation and the recipient of UGC National Fellowship during her PhD studies. His prime research interests are tree breeding, molecular biology and conservation genetics. His formal research has been on genetic diversity assessment and domestication of an anti-cancer drug yielding plant found in the wilderness of peninsular India as scattered populations.
